Panthers top Rams to close in on N-O lead

Newfane downed host Roy-Hart 61-46 this evening to pull to within a half game of Niagara-Orleans League leading Albion which dropped a 70-59 decision at rival Medina.

The victory improves Newfane to 6-1 while Albion is 7-1.

Josh Everett scored 17, Garrett Srock 12 and Sam Capen 9 to spark the Panthers which led 31-20 at the half.

Rhett Goodwin scored 12 for Roy-Hart which slips to 2-6.

Akron 76, Barker 33
Akron closed to within two games of the N-O lead as the Tigers improved to 4-3 with a 76-33 win over Barker.

Jake Mazza scored 21 and Adam Mietz 19 for Akron which led 44-12 at the half.

N-O Standings: Albion 7-1, Newfane 6-1, Akron 4-3, Medina 4-4, Wilson 3-3, Roy-Hart 2-6, Barker 0-8.
