Panthers score sweep over Seahorses

Newfane swept to a pair of victories over host Medina in a Niagara-Orleans League swim meet this evening.

The Panthers won the boys’ meet 90-51 and the girls’ competition 90-68.

Eli Thompson was a double winner in the 50 Freestyle and 100 Backstroke and Noah Kneeland took both the 200 Individual Medley and 100 Breaststroke to lead the way for the Newfane boys which also had Daenon Kopp win the 200 Free and Dimitri Young the 100 Butterfly.

Jackson Moreland won the 100 Free and Caiden Class the 500 Free for Medina.

The Newfane boys are now 2-0 and Medina 0-3.

Kim Schmitt won both the IM and Backstroke and Avery Stevenson doubled in the 50 Free and 100 Butterfly to spark the Newfane girls which also had Sam Harmon win the 100 Free and Lydia Lamont the 100 Breaststroke.

Maddy Satkowski won the 200 Free and Madeline Mark the 500 Free for the Seahorses.

The Newfane girls are now 1-1 and Medina 1-2.

In another N-O meet, Akron swept Albion winning in the boys’ competition 53-40 and the girls’ 48-45.
