Panthers roll to win over visiting Mustangs
Improving to 8-0 defending champion Newfane romped to a 75-40 victory over visiting Medina in a Niagara-Orleans League boys basketball make-up game this evening.
Landon Braman scored 15 and Ben Dickinson 12 to lead a parade of nine Panther point getters.
Jerrell Nealy scored 19 and Justin Pitts 13 to lead Medina.
Racing out to a 16 point, 27-11, first quarter advantage, Newfane went on to lead by margins of 27 (42-15) at the half and 33 (58-25) at the three-quarter mark.
Dickinson scored 7 while Braman hit two threes and Nate Snow and Luke Emmons one each to get the Panthers rolling in the opening quarter.
The Panthers then got scoring from six different players in each of the last three quarters.
The loss drops Medina to 3-4 in N-O action.

In Genesee Region League action this evening Oakfield-Alabama defeated Holley 68-53, Pembroke downed Kendall 68-44 and Wheatland-Chili bested Lyndonville 53-33.
Avery Watterson scored 40 and Gavin Armbrewster 19 to lead Oakfield-Alabama.
Vinny Golisano scored 21, Destin Kuyal 15 and Ben Cox 12 for Holley.
Trailing 43-26 at the half, Holley rallied back to within five, 49-44, at the three-quarter mark but could get no closer.
