Pace qualifies for state swim championships

Medina High senior Isaac Pace had a big day at this evening’s Section VI state qualifier swim meet held at the Flickinger Center in Buffalo.

Pace qualified for the state championships in both the 50 Freestyle and 100 Breaststroke.

He placed second in the 50 Free with a time of :22.15 and third in the 100 Breaststroke with a school and Niagara-Orleans League record time of 1:00.26.

The state championship meet will be held on March 4 and 5 at Ithaca.

The Medina 400 Freestyle Relay team of Pace, Xander Payne, Jaxon Phillips and Ben Griffin also set a new school record time of 3:30.06 with a 7th place finish.
