Pace advances at state swim championships

Medina High senior Isaac Pace has advanced to the finals in the 100 Breaststroke at the state swim championships being held today and Saturday at Ithaca.

Pace posted a time of 1:00.70 in the 100 Breaststroke in the preliminaries today for a 25th place finish which advances him to Saturday afternoon’s finals. He will be swimming in the first of three finals heats.

Pace qualified for the state meet by posting a school and Niagara-Orleans League record time of 1:00.26 at the Section VI championships where he placed third.

He also competed in the 50 Freestyle today posting a time of :22.38 but did not qualify for the finals. He had placed second in the 50 Free at the Section VI championships.
