Two quick goals early in the second half keyed host Upper St. Clair, Pa. to a narrow 3-2 win over Barker today in a non league field hockey game.

Barker pulled into a 1-1 tie at the half on a goal by Ciara Gregoire off an assist from Serena Harris.

However, Madeline Takos scored twice in the first nine minutes of the second half to put Upper St. Claire back on top to stay at 3-1.

Natalie Bruning scored Barker’s other goal with five minutes remaining.

Now at 1-2 overall, Barker returns to Niagara-Orleans League action on Tuesday at Wilson.
