Ortt to host public health forum Tuesday on effects of industrial wind turbines

WILLIAMSVILLE – State Sen. Rob Ortt, R-North Tonawanda, will be hosting a public forum to on Tuesday to explore the public health impacts of industrial wind turbines.

Experts in the fields of acoustics, audiology, and health will present information on the subject, and individuals with first-hand experience of living with these turbines in their communities will share their experiences on living with these industrial structures.

The forum will be from 4 to 6 p.m. at Erie County Community College North Campus, Gleaser Hall, 6205 Main St., Williamsville.

Panelists will include Ortt; Assemblyman Mike Norris, R-Lockport; Dan Stapleton, Niagara County Commissioner of Health; Jerry Punch, Ph.D., Audiologist; Rob Rand, Member of INCE (Institute of Noise Control Engineers), Gary Abraham, an attorney; and the Western New York Health Alliance.
