Whether it is a key play, a great facial expression or just a special shot every photographer has his or her favorite pictures.

Here are just a few of mine from a busy and eventful 2023 beginning with my favorite.

Holley’s Zoey Wolf goes up for a header during the Lady Hawks state qualifier win over Genesee Region League foe Byron-Bergen at Geneseo. The victory propelled the Lady Hawks into the state playoffs for the first time.

Isaac and Ezra Dumrese and Ben Allen, the great great grandchildren of Michael Spierdowis,  for whom Albion football stadium is named, flip the commemorative coin before the Purple Eagles inaugural game on the new artificial turf field. The commemorative coin featured the Purple Eagle logo(shown in the picture) as heads.
