Orleans will soon get a break from brutal cold

Forecast for Thursday includes high near 50

The temperatures will be on the rise on Sunday, moving from 0 at sunrise to 13 by noon and reaching a high of 22.

The upward trend will be appreciated after dangerously low temperatures in recent days with wind chills at minus 20.

The forecast from the National Weather Service for the week includes Monday (high of 35, low of 29), Tuesday (high of 31 and low of 19), Wednesday (high of 43, low of 41), Thursday (hgh near 50, low of 32), Friday (high near 35, low around 24) and Saturday (high near 24).

Editor’s Note: Due to furnace problems, the First Presbyterian Church of Albion will be closed for services on Sunday.
