Orleans wakes up to about a foot of snow
Wind chill advisory today from 6 p.m. until 7 p.m. Monday
Orleans County woke up to about a foot of snow this morning after heavy snowfall Saturday evening and overnight. Many residents are out this morning trying to clear their driveway from the snow.
The county and Western New York remain under a winter storm warning until 6 p.m.
The National Weather Service has also issued a wind chill advisory for Orleans and WNY beginning at 6 p.m. today until 7 p.m. on Monday when the wind chill could be as low as 20 below zero.
The Weather Service said there will be heavy and blowing snow with an additional 4 to 8 inches of snow.
Today is forecast for a high of 12 degrees but will fall to minus-2 overnight. Monday it will reach a high of 8 degrees.
