Orleans Outlaws finish busy diamond season
This past weekend the Orleans Outlaws 10U baseball team concluded a busy season which included competing in four tournaments.
Over the weekend the Outlaws went 1-1 in the rain shortened 5th annual Future Stars Tournament at Hershey, Pa.
Earlier in the season, the Outlaws won the Rush-Henrietta Tournament, placed second at the Erie Tourney going 3-1 and third at the Lou Gehrig Classic in Buffalo going 2-2. Both of those losses (to Orchard Park and Clarence) were in the final inning.
Next year the team will move up to 11U competition playing on the 50×70 diamond.
The Outlaws 17U team finished the season playing in the Monroe County top division with a 3-8 record.
The Outlaws are already planning to add several teams for the 2022 season. The planned lineup will include 8U, 9U, 11U, 12U, 14U and 17U age level teams. Tryouts for the 8, 9, 11 and 12 age groups will be held on August 29 at Stanford Park in Churchville. Dates for the 14 and 17 age groups are to be set.
