Orleans Hub reached a milestone this morning when we posted the article about Medina buying a new police vehicle after one was totaled on March 6.

That article was the 20,000th since the Hub started nearly six years ago. We went live on April 2, 2013. We actually starting posting articles on the Orleans Hub that March so there would be articles on the site when it went live.

In our six years we have averaged about 9 new articles every day. Most of those are written by Tom Rivers, the news editor, and Mike Wertman, the sportswriter.

The 20,000 articles also include letters to the editor, press releases and articles from contributors.

We have posted articles every day since we started, never taking a day off.
