Orleans has G-R All-Star softball quartet

Four Orleans players have been named to the Genesee Region League All-Star softball team.
That quartet includes Lyndonville sophomores pitcher Brooke Robinson and infielder Bella Groves along with Holley senior catcher Leigha Walker and Kendall sophomore catcher Brooke Rodas.
Robinson hit .514 with 5 doubles, 3 triples, 1 home run and 31 RBI.
Groves hit .371 with 4 doubles, 1 triple, 2 home runs and 11 RBI.
Walker hit .406 with 9 RBI and 14 runs scores.
Rodas hit .403 with 9 doubles, 1 triple, 2 home runs and 30 RBI.
Kendall’s trio of senior pitcher Danielle Offhaus, junior infielder Maggie Zastrow and 8th grader infielder Isabella D’Agostino all earned Honorable Mention as did Lyndonville junior catcher Addison Dillenbeck.
The All-Star team also includes Melissa Sawyer, Faith Goodenbury and Madison Boyce from Alexander; Reagan Schneider and Jayden Hootman from Pembroke; Maddie Robinson and Laurel Cius from Attica; Lauren Gartz from Byron-Bergen; Brea Smith from Elba; Emma Sisson, Mia Treleaven, Katie Landers and Loretta Sorochty from Notre Dame and Kara Tobolski, Caitlin Ryan and Piper Hyde from Oakfield-Alabama.
Sorochty was named G-R Player of the Year.
