The Orleans FC U17 boys soccer team went 1-2 at the NYC Cup, a worldwide showcase tournament held over the weekend in New York City.

Orleans FC defeated Bryst from Canada 2-1 on a goal by Pablo Rosario off an assist from Finn McCue and on an own goal.

In the other two games, Orleans FC lost 2-0 to Everton, England and 4-0 to the Dutch Elite H.S. team.

“Our boys had a great experience in NYC. Their performance was phenomenal,” said Orleans FC Coach Angel Rosario. “They lost to Everton 2-0 but were dominating the entire game. They were unlucky in the last 15 minutes. They gave them a hard battle. Everton plays in the premier league in England which is considered the best league in the world. The following game the boys won 2-1 against Bryst which is a top team from Canada! Our boys learned a lot from this experience and are excited for next year!”
