Orioles, Yanks score youth baseball wins

Orioles 6, Marlins 0
The Medina Brushstrokes Orioles played hard to secure a playoff victory, downing the Roy-Hart Marlins 6-0 on Wednesday.

Orioles pitching was on the money by Kolton Fletcher and Joe Reese each with 3 strikeouts, and William Tagg with 2 strikeouts.  Together the pitching trio allowed only 4 hits.

Ethan Brown backed up the pitching with 2 outstanding plays at shortstop.

On offense, the Orioles bats were hot.  Maddox Smith started the attack with a double into center field and a run scored.  Fletcher showed his power at the plate going 3-3 with 2 home runs, a triple and 2 RBI’s.  Joe Reese went 3-3 with a double, 2 singles and a RBI.  Steven Gobelli added a single and a RBI.  Anthony Reese scored a run and Mason Cook got his bat on the ball.

Yankees 15, Red Sox 11
The  MTA Yankees bats finished the season strong scoring 15 runs to beat the Roy Hart Red Sox on Saturday.

Brody Fry led batting going 3 for 3 with 2 triples and a home run. Cole Callard had 2 doubles and scored twice, Michael Chisler a single and a double and scored 3 times, Cameron Kenward a double and a single and scored a run. Tyler Kroening and Jimmy Dieter each added a hit and scored 2 runs while Henry Rigerman had a double and a single, and  Aiden Wisniewski added 2 hits, and Colton Smith added a hit.

Fry again pitched strong on the mound with 7 strikeouts over 3 innings.  Callard had 5 strikeouts over 2 1/2 innings, and Kroening came in to close out game to secure the win.
