Orioles, Blue Jays score Minor Division wins

The Medina Bogan and Tuttle Funeral Home Orioles defeated the Lyndonville Giants 11-1 Saturday to remain undefeated on the season at 5-0 in the Minor Division.

The Orioles were lead in hitting by Steven Gobeli going 4-4 with two doubles and two triples, Anthony Rees two doubles and a single, Sawyer Lilleby  4 singles and Brennan Allen 2 doubles and a single. Maddox Smith and William Tagg also each had a single and two doubles, and Tyler Draper had a single.

Pitching for the Orioles were Sawyer Lilleby 4 strikeouts in three innings and William Tagg who closed out the final two innings pitching with 2 strike outs.

The Somerset Blue Jays scored twice in the sixth inning to edge past the Medina Dodgers.

Singles by Cayvon Heigl and Grayson Prynn set up the late threat. Drew LaGreca then doubled in the tying run and Kian Lawson singled in the game winner. The foursome also all had a hand in driving in the Jays first two runs in the opening inning. Prynn finished with 3 hits and Heigl and LaGreca 2.

Caleb Hungerford banged out a three run double for the Dodgers in the third inning following singles by Caliych Boston, Zach Graham and Tyler Raduns who had 2 hits on the day.
