Only minor injuries after vehicle hits utility pole in Murray

MURRAY – Murray firefighters were dispatched today at 3:45 p.m. for a 2-vehicle MVA with injuries at Ridge Road and Carton Road.
First arriving unit was Assistant Chief Jim Fox confirming a 2-vehicle MVA with a vehicle into a pole. Further investigation revealed the second vehicle was a parked vehicle with no occupants. Fox reported minor injuries and requested National Grid to the scene.
District Chief Rick Cary arrived and took Command. Fire Police units shut down traffic in both directions. Monroe Ambulance obtained a patient refusal and was returned to service.
Murray units were on-scene for a couple of hours while National Grid and the tow company removed the vehicle. The cause of the accident is under investigation by the Orleans County Sheriff’s Department and the State Police.
