OC Clay Crushers compete in national championship in Ohio

Team of 10 hits nearly 3,000 targets

The Orleans County Clay Crushers competed in the 25th Annual Scholastic Clay Target Program National Championship at the Cardinal Shooting Center in Marengo, Ohio from July 11 to July 19.

Ten athletes from the Clay Crushers competed across multiple disciplines, including International and Doubles Skeet, Handicap and Doubles Trap, American Trap and Skeet, Sporting Clays, and Super Sporting, shooting nearly 3,000 targets. They joined more than 3,000 athletes from 40 states who competed in the event.

The local team was represented by Garrison Foote, Molly Frasier, Jonathan Frasier, Connor Jurs, Jamison King, Jace Ladue, Hunter Mundt, Jim Tobin, Lane Woodworth and Morgan Woodworth. Notably, Morgan placed 3rd in the nation in American Trap within the Intermediate Entry Division.

Morgan Woodworth took third in the nation in American Trap in the Intermediate Entry Division.
