Yvonne L. Harris

MEDINA – On Sunday, November 9, 2025, at Strong Memorial Hospital, Yvonne L. Harris, 62, was called home to be with the Lord. She was born on June 13, 1963, to the late Lizzie Mae Wallace of Medina, NY.

Yvonne grew up, attended grade and grammar school, and later obtained her G.E.D. in Medina. She worked various jobs throughout the years. She was incredibly talented at writing poetry and was a very gifted artist. Von was a kind, gentle soul and loved her family. She had a fascination with unicorns and wanted them all around her.

Yvonne is survived by her husband, David Harris Sr., and her son, David “DJ” Harris Jr.; her siblings, Shirley Jones of Denton, TX, Joanne Bradley, and Jimmy Wallace, both of Lockport, NY, and Paul Wallace of Rochester, NY; and a special grandson, Nasiair Zakiyah Harris.

Besides her mother, Yvonne is predeceased by her beloved son, Joshua Harris; a brother, Eric Wallace; and a sister, Ella Mae Wallace.

Relatives and friends may call on Friday, November 21, 2025, at The Vine Church, 11031 Maple Ridge Rd. Medina, NY 14103, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m., where a funeral service will be held at 12 p.m. Burial will be in the Boxwood Cemetery.
