William Wehling

William L. Wehling, 83, of Medina, passed away Fri., Nov. 15, 2019 following a long and hard battle with several ailments.

Mr. Wehling was born March 6, 1936 in Medina, a son of Arthur C. and Bertha A. (Laatsch) Wehling. He lived in the Medina area all his life. He married Joanne D. Beaver on Aug. 25, 1956, and together they raised a family of three children. Mr. Wehling was a collision man for several years, working for area car dealerships and at one time owning his own business. Eventually, he went to work for Harrison Radiator in Lockport, from which he retired after many years. His hobbies were welding, fabricating, and working on antique pocket watches. Mr. Wehling’s main priority and joy in life was taking special care of his beloved son, Mike.

Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his wife of 56 years, Joanne D. Wehling, on Jan. 3, 2013; his sister, Esther; and his brother, Arthur Wehling.

He is survived by his children, William E. (Robin) Wehling, Jacqueline A. Wall and Michael A. Wehling; grandchildren, Alan (Amy) Ward, Marcy (Kelli) Wehling, William (Liz) Wehling, Erik Wehling, Vinita (Richard) Mosher and Michael (Johanna) Mishra; six great-grandchildren; brother, Walter (Terry) Wehling; several nieces and nephews; and special friends at the Sunrise Café, Leroy and Shirley Neeper and Carol Wellman.

There will be no calling hours. Interment in Bates Road Cemetery will take place at the convenience of the family.
