William H. Cox

ALBION – William H. Cox, age 80, died August 9, 2024 in Strong Memorial Hospital.  He was born September 18, 1943 in Medina to Herbert and Mary (Baker) Cox and was a life-long resident of Albion.

Bill was a member of the Handyman Club of America, enjoyed fixing things and just “tinkering.” He enjoyed woodworking, landscaping, anything to do with tractors, going on vacation and fishing. In addition to instilling a sense of adventure in his children and grandchildren, Bill was a person who would help others at a drop of a hat and was truly devoted to his family.

He is survived by his children: Carrie (Thomas) Boyer of FL, and Tom Cox of Clarendon; his brother, Richard (Judy) Cox of Barre Center; his sister, Marlene Brett of Albion; two grandchildren, Emanuel (Kirsten) Boyer of FL and Ben Cox of Clarendon as well as several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends at the Christopher Mitchell Funeral Home, 21 West Avenue-Albion, on Monday, Aug. 12, from 11a.m. to 1 p.m. A time to share memories will begin at 1 p.m. following visitation. Private burial in Transit Cemetery will immediately follow the sharing of memories.
