Wayne M. Kyle, 67, of Shelby Center, entered into rest on Sun., June 2, 2019 after a long battle with cancer.

Born Oct. 18, 1951 in Medina, Wayne was the son of the late Melvin and Violet (Ribbeck) Kyle. He graduated from Medina High School in the class of 1971. Wayne was self-employed as a carpenter/contractor and specialized in fine woodwork. He has left his mark of quality woodworking in many homes throughout the area, including extensive work in the funeral home in which his services will take place, Cooper Funeral Home. Wayne was a true craftsman who took great pride in his work, which was evident in his attention to detail. He taught the shop class at Forrestel Farms in Shelby, teaching children the trade of woodworking, and was a Boy Scout leader for Troop 32 in Medina for many years. Wayne also enjoyed camping and, especially, spending time with his grandchildren.

Wayne is survived by his loving wife of 40 years, Laura E. (Putt) Kyle; four children, Wayne C. (fiancée Cindy Gargula) Kyle, James (Sara) Kyle, Joseph (Lori) Kyle and Kimberly Kyle; five grandchildren; three sisters, Deborah (David) Carmer, Diane (Gary) Arndt and Beverly (William) Putt; six nieces and nephews.

Calling hours will be held on Fri., June 7 from 3 to 7 p.m. at Cooper Funeral Home, 215 W. Center St., Medina. A private graveside committal service will be held in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, West Shelby.
