Virginia BlissettVirginia “G.G.” (Bell) Blissett, 91, of Holley, passed away at her home Feb. 8, 2019 while under the loving care of her daughter, Debbie, and family. Virginia was born Feb. 28, 1927 in Hulberton, a daughter of the late Thorpe Bell Sr. and Irene (Ball) Bell.

Virginia and her late husband, Edward, owned and operated Edward Blissett Nursery for many years. G.G. was an exceptional cook and baker who will be remembered for her famous pie crust. She loved playing cards, reading, and her cats, especially Gizzy. She also had a special love for her stuffed “Baby Bunny.” G.G. above all else cherished her loving family.

She was predeceased by her husband, Edward; sons-in-law, Richard Scharping and Gerald Harter; three brothers and one sister.

G.G. is survived by her loving children, Gloria Harter, Carolyn Scharping, Richard (Linda) Sanford and Deborah Seiler; nine grandchildren, including two special grandchildren, Brandon and Farin Seiler; several great-grandchildren, including special great-grandson, Kameron Walch; and several great-great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends at Christopher Mitchell Funeral Homes, Inc., 16650 Route 31, Holley, on Tue., Feb. 12 from 10 to 11 a.m., followed by her funeral service at the funeral home at 11 a.m. Interment will follow at Mt. Albion Cemetery.
