Virginia E. “Ginger” Engert
Holley: Virginia E. “Ginger” Engert, age 80, passed away December 21, 2022. She was born January 12, 1942 in Brockport to the late William and Virginia (Hogan) Zeiner.
Virginia enjoyed knitting, puzzles, crosswords, BINGO and was known for her great personality and being a jokester.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her significant other, Richard Battaglia, Sr., son Douglas, brother Randy and brother-in-law, Gary Mowers.
Virginia is survived by her children, Jay (Petra) Engert, Mike (Sue) Engert, Lorie (Gordon) Dennis, Cherie (Jonathan) Black, Marylou Engert, Shauna (Dave) McKee, John Jones, several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, siblings, Rosemarie Mowers, Anita (Jim) Lorenzo, Chuck (Mary) Zeiner, Kevin Zeiner, as well as many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Services for Virginia will be held privately.
Memorial contributions in Virginia’s name may be made to PAWS, Mr. Grey’s Strays, or Duffy’s Friends.
Virginia’s arrangements have been entrusted to the Christopher Mitchell Funeral Home of Holley, NY.
