Virginia B. Phillips

MEDINA – Virginia B. Phillips, 94, of Medina, NY, passed away on Friday, September 3, 2021, at the Medina Memorial Hospital with her loving family at her side. Born on March 22, 1927 in the Town of Ridgeway, she was the daughter of the late Harold and Charlotte (Crowley) Albone.

Virginia graduated from Medina High School in 1945. In 1949, she married the late David Phillips and they made their home in Medina, raising two loving children. Virginia worked as a clerk for various retail stores and for the former Heinz Co., retiring from Harrison Radiator in 1991. She was a lifetime communicant of St. Mary’s Church and was very active at the former Moose Club. In her spare time, Virginia enjoyed traveling and spending time with family.

Virginia is survived by her daughter, Karen Hale; grandchildren, Daniel (Pam) Reigle, Katherine (Daniel) May, Timothy (Cheryl) Reigle, Michelle (Dennis) Wright, Jeremy (Angie) Phillips and Roger (Nichole) Phillips Jr. Also surviving are several great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, three sisters-in-law and many nieces and nephews.

Besides her husband David, Virginia is predeceased by a son, Roger Phillips Sr., five siblings, John, Joseph, Lewis, and Victor Albone and Rose Larnder and a great-granddaughter, Madeline Rose May.

Relatives and friends may call from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Bogan & Tuttle Funeral Home, 226 Pearl St. Medina, NY 14103 on Thursday, Sept. 9, 2021. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, 3 p.m. at the Holy Trinity/St. Mary’s Church. Burial will be in the St. Mary’s Cemetery.
