Violet Ann Davis

ALBION – Violet Ann Davis, 60, died Dec. 1, 2020 at United Memorial Medical Center surrounded by her loving family.  She was born Oct. 19, 1960 in Medina, a daughter of the late Charles and Elizabeth June (Goodwin) Davis and had lived in this area all of her life.

Violet enjoyed bingo and loved watching her husband and son race, and going to her grandchildren’s sporting events.  Most importantly, she loved spending time with her family and was often called “the rock of her family.”

In addition to her parents she was predeceased by her grandmother, Violet Bennett and her brother, James Goodwin.  She is survived by her husband of 42 years, Clayton Downs; her children: Audrey Davis, Paula (Danny Coston) Stanton, Crystal (Christopher) Capwell, TJ Downs; grandchildren: Clayton and Jason Stanton, Matthew and Kristin Barry, Ayden Coston; her siblings: Ionis (Randy) Kovach, Steve (Diane) Davis, Kenny (Jackie) Davis, Laurie Davis; her best friend, Patricia Canne; as well as several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

The family will receive friends at the Christopher Mitchell Funeral Homes, Inc. 21 West Ave., Albion Fri., Dec. 4 from 6-8 p.m. and on Sat., Dec. 5 from 11 a.m. – 12 p.m.  Her funeral service will be private, but may be viewed by live stream at 12 p.m. by clicking here.
