Verona J. Pritchard

Verona J. Pritchard, 89, of Medina, passed away on Tue., Aug. 11, 2020 at Orchard Manor Rehabilitation and Nursing Center.

Born on March 29, 1931 in Medina, she was the daughter of the late Jessie and Mildred (Grimes) Reed.

Verona grew up in Knowlesville. After graduating from Medina High School in 1948, she worked as an operator for New York Telephone for three years. On Feb. 14, 1951, she married the late Donald M. Pritchard. Verona held numerous positions in her lifetime: research clerk at Genesee County Abstracting Company; clerk at Knowlesville Post Office; as well as deputy town clerk, water clerk and assessor clerk for the Town of Ridgeway. She retired in 2001. In her spare time, Verona enjoyed gardening and was an avid tole painter.

Verona is survived by her son, Donald L. (Susan) Pritchard of Kendall; five grandchildren, Jeffrey S.
(Marcella) Miller of Atlanta, Ga.; Timothy Miller of Richmond, Va.; Kristofer Miller of Albany, N.Y., Jillian Pritchard of Mendon, N.Y., and Kevin Pritchard of Bethesda, Md.; five great-grandchildren; a brother, David Reed of Albion; a sister-in-law, Bessie Pritchard of Medina; and several nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents and husband, Verona is predeceased by a daughter, Cathy Miller; and a sister,
Marion Schompert.

Due to Covid-19, a memorial service will be held at a later date to be announced.
