Vernon Bud KrisherVernon “Bud” Krisher, 85, of Alden, passed away peacefully in Hospice care on the morning of Jan. 17, 2020.

Vernon grew up in Lyndonville and worked the Krisher farm until he left the area. He proudly served in the United States Army from 1957 to 1959. After settling in Alden, he ran his electrical contracting business, Buddy’s Service Company, for over 50 years until retirement.

No one who met Bud could deny his love for his family, his passion for his career, or the strength of his faith. He loved hunting, fishing, and spending time with friends who were dear to his heart. His strong work ethic was unmatched and he instilled this in his children and grandchildren. He had an infectious sense of humor, and his day was made if he could make someone smile.

He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Faith Krisher (Klein); daughter, Cynthia; son, Thomas (Rachel); grandchildren, Heather (Salvador), Jason (Annette), Bradley and Victoria; great-grandchildren, Olivia, Trey, Simon and Brynn; brother, Dan (Christine) Krisher; and three sisters, Joan Thomas, Suzanne Lorenz and Carol Presher.

A memorial service will be held on Tue., Jan. 21 at 12:30 p.m. at First Baptist Church of Elma, 1301 Bowen Road, Elma.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Bud’s memory to Hospice Buffalo.
