Urbine L. Bennett

American flagKENDALL – Urbine L. Bennett, 73, died April 10, 2021 at his residence following a short illness. He was born December 27, 1947 in Rochester and had lived in this area most of his life.

Urb was a United States Marine Corps Veteran of the Vietnam War, a member of the American Legion, the VFW and the Marine Corps League. He was also a 20-year member of the Orleans County Sheriff’s Department. Urb attended Concordia Lutheran Church, enjoyed riding motorcycles and playing the guitar.

Mr. Bennett was predeceased by a step-son, Kevin Banker.

He is survived by his wife of 15 years, Sharon; his son, Adam (Heather) Bennett of AR; a step-son, Scott (Kathy) Banker of TN; 2 brothers, Clyde LeFevre of Cortland and Arbuth Bumgarner of FL; his mother, Marcia LeFevre of Cortland; daughter-in-law, Heather Bennett; 8 grandchildren as well as several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends on Friday from 1 to 4 p.m. at the Christopher Mitchell Funeral Homes, Inc., 16650 State Rt. 31-Holley, where his memorial service will be held immediately following at 4 p.m. Please note that social distancing guidelines will be in place and the a mask or facial covering must be worn. Interment will be in West Kendall Cemetery will Military Honors.
