Thomas VickAmerican flagThomas W. Vick, 72, of Kendall/Hilton, passed away with his loving family by his side on Jan. 24, 2019. Tom was born Nov. 8, 1946 in Rochester, a son of the late Frederick and Eleanor (Shaw) Vick.

He served in the United States Army, 3rd Infantry of The Old Guard, “The President’s Own.” Tom was a member of the Kendall Lions Club, and a member and past chief of the Kendall Fire Department. Tom was a former employee of Alliance Tool Co.

He was predeceased by his brother, William; and sister, Marilynn Reynolds.

Tom is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Christy; son, Nathaniel Vick; daughters, Christine Vick and Lara (Jimmy) Rodriguez; grandchildren, Joshua, Natalia and David; sister, Pat (Bob) Pitcher; sister-in-law, Sheryl Vick; several nieces and nephews; and his dog, “Speckles.”

Tom’s memorial service will be held at Calvary Chapel Westside, 2407 S. Union St., Spencerport NY 14559, on Thu., Jan. 31 at 10:30 a.m.

Interment with military honors will take place at Greenwood Cemetery in Kendall in the spring. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the University of Rochester Wilmot Cancer Center, 300 E. River Road, P.O. Box 278996, Rochester NY 14627.

Tom’s arrangements have been entrusted to Christopher Mitchell Funeral Homes, Inc., 16650 Route 31, Holley, N.Y.
