Thomas J. “Junior” Zambito Jr., 83, of Albion, passed away after a short illness on March 9, 2020 at Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester. He was born Sept. 9, 1936 in Albion to the late Thomas and Marion Zambito.

Tom worked for 34.5 years as a crane operator for the New York State Department of Canals and was a member of St. Mary’s Archery Club, St. Mary’s Club, Orleans County Vets Club, WNYVFA, and the Albion Fire Department. He enjoyed his monthly casino trips with his wife, and he collected anything and everything he could.

Tom is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 58 years, Nancy; daughter, Pamela (Peter) Pilon; granddaughters, Jessica (Shaun Castle) Pilon and Mindy (Alex Marcello) Pilon; great-granddaughter, Haven Marcello; sister, Carolyn DelMonte; niece, Shelly; and nephew, Scott.

The family will receive friends on Thu., March 12 from 4 to 8 p.m. at Christopher Mitchell Funeral Homes, Inc., 21 West Ave., Albion NY 14411, where his funeral service will be held Fri., March 13 at 10 a.m. Interment will take place privately at St. Joseph’s Cemetery in Albion.
