MEDINA – Terre L. Paige, age 79, of Amherst entered eternal rest on Friday, January 26, 2024 at Millard Fillmore Suburban Hospital after a lengthy battle with Alzheimer’s disease. Terre was born February 26, 1944 in Medina, NY and was raised by his adoptive parents the late F. Benjamin Paige and Mildred (Cook) Paige.

He graduated from Medina High School in 1962 and attended the University of Buffalo and Daemen College before starting Terre Paige Media, a Buffalo advertising agency in 1996. Previously, he worked with this father, Ben Paige, at Paige’s Collision and was the owner of Terre’s Toys & Hobbies in Medina.

He is survived by his loving wife and best friend of many years, Patricia Dywan; his two children, Anthony J. (Lori) of Keene, NH and Amanda (Jason) Williams of Middleport, NY; two stepsons, Mathew Dywan of Chandler, AZ and Jeffrey Dywan of Amherst, NY; eight precious grandchildren; a sister Mary Lou Blount (Robert) of Medina; nieces, nephew, a goddaughter Wendy and many friends. Terre is, also, survived by his former wife, Jackelyn Gerzoff of Medina.

He was predeceased by a grandson, Zachary and a nephew, Patrick.

Terre was a longtime fan of the Indy 500. He owned race cars for many years and drove several years at Ransomville. He loved trains, model railroading, presidential history, traveling with the grandchildren who kept him young. Terre was a kind man who greeted everyone with a smile and will be remembered as a gentleman. He was deeply loved and is sorely missed. “Better our life is left to chance. I could have missed the pain, but I’d have had to miss the dance.”

The family extends their deepest appreciation and gratitude to the staff of Millard Fillmore Suburban Hospital.

A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Saturday, February 3, 2024 at 10 a.m. from Good Shepherd Pendleton Site, 5441 Tonawanda Creek Rd., North Tonawanda, NY 14120. Please assemble at the church. Interment will be in Millville Cemetery in Orleans County at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Terre’s name to the Alzheimer’s Assoc. of Western, NY.
