Susan Mary Martillotta, 70, of Cotuit, Mass. and formerly of Sandwich and Boston, Mass., passed away peacefully at Royal Nursing Center in Falmouth, Mass. on June 6, 2020. She was the daughter of the late Sam and Mary Martillotta of Albion.

Born in Albion, Susan graduated from Albion High School in 1967. She was a 1969 graduate of Green Mountain Junior College, Poultney, Vt.; and a 1971 graduate of American International College, Springfield, Mass. Upon graduation, Susan went on to teach English in the Springfield school system, after which she entered a career in advertising sales in Boston. Upon moving to Cape Cod, she continued in the sales of advertising space and, most recently, of gourmet meats. Susan was confirmed as a member of First Presbyterian Church of Albion. She was most proud of being a mother.

Susan is survived by her two children, Samantha Martillotta of Cotuit and Daniel (Colleen) Martillotta Cohen of West Barnstable, Mass.; her brother, Samuel (Paula) Martillotta of Chardon, Ohio; her grandson, Robert Marrs III; several cousins, including Thomas (Jennifer) Mahoney of Canandaigua and Marnie Mahoney of Farmington, N.Y.; nieces, Alexandra and Audrey Martillotta; and nephews, Sammy and John (Olivia) Martillotta.

Susan was blessed by the love of her many dear friends. Susan, or Suki, as many of her close friends called her, had a great sense of humor and was filled with both passion and compassion. She could carry on a conversation like few can and loved talking with anyone who was willing to talk back.

A mask-required visitation will be held at Chapman, Cole & Gleason Funeral Home, 74 Algonquin Ave. (Rte. 151), Mashpee, Mass. on Mon., June 15 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. A private funeral service at the funeral home and burial in Sandwich Town Cemetery, Route 130, Sandwich, will follow.
