Stephen M Forder
GAINESBORO/ALBION- Stephen M Forder, 54, of Gainesboro, TN and formerly of Albion, NY, passed away on May 31, 2023 after battling an illness.
Stephen was born November 18, 1968 to Richard D Forder Sr. and Martha L Babcock Forder. He was a 1988 graduate of Albion High School where he was involved in football, basketball, and baseball. Stephen enjoyed fishing and hunting and was an avid fan of the Toronto Blue Jays and Oakland Raiders.
In May of 2020, Stephen moved to Tennessee where he purchased a home on a mountain with his special friend Paula Preston in hopes or creating an animal sanctuary/ rescue center.
In June of 2021, Stephen was diagnosed with small cell lung cancer. He fought bravely for the next 2 years as the cancer spread into new areas of his body. Stephen then joined the Bridge Community Church in Gainesboro where he accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as his Savior and was baptized on August 14, 2022.
Stephen was predeceased by his parents Richard Sr. and Martha, and his son Richie.
A private service will be held on “his mountain” as per Stephen’s wishes and a celebration of life will be communicated at a future date.
