Stella Robison

Stella Marion (Stone) Robison passed away peacefully at her home on Aug. 27, 2020, seven days after her beloved husband, Milford.

Born on June 24, 1929 to Dewey R. and Mary Elizabeth “Bessie” (Mero) Stone, she worked at Harrison Radiator Division for 16 years while maintaining the Robison homestead as an organic farm.

Stella was a true artist at heart. She was a prolific watercolorist, participating in many local art shows at the Kenan Center and the Niagara County Historical Society. She was honored with a lifetime membership to the Niagara Arts Guild. In addition to painting, she was a fiber artist who dyed and hand-spun her own yarn. As a member of the Weavers Guild, she frequently demonstrated sock making and weaving at the Babcock House, the Amherst Museum and the Hartland Historical Society, where she and her husband, Milford, were lifetime members. As a dedicated 4-H leader for many years, Stella loved to share the joy of being a lifelong learner.

Together in marriage for 71 years, she is predeceased by her devoted husband, Milford Raymond Robison; as well as her beloved daughter, Patricia (Robert) Gilsinan.

She is survived by her children, Barbara (Paul) Ignatz, Evelyn Robison, Martha (William) Johnson, Elizabeth (Cheryl Mcbey) Robison, David (Jennie) Robison, and Jennifer (Geoffrey) Koplas; 11 dear grandchildren; and seven sweet great-grandchildren.

The family is especially grateful to Wanda Donald and Colleen Sherman for their generous in-home care, and to Niagara Hospice for their constant compassion and guidance.

A Celebration of Life for family will be held at a future date.

Memorial donations may be made to Niagara Hospice, UB Foundation Anatomical Gift Program, or a charity of your choice.
