Shirley M. Benedict
Shirley M. (Jett) Benedict, 70, of Kendall, passed away Feb. 10, 2019 at Elderwood at Lakeside in Brockport. She was born Nov. 29, 1948 in Albion, a daughter of the late John D. Jett Sr. and Glenna M. (Baker) Jett. Shirley was an avid bird watcher and enjoyed feeding them. She loved her cat, and she could make awesome sausage gravy. Shirley will be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother and sister, and as a devoted wife.
She was predeceased by her brothers, Harold Jett Sr. and Richard “Rick” Jett.
She is survived by her husband of 42 years, Richard; sons, Orin (Rachel Renko) Benedict and Richard (Sarah Bohn) Benedict; grandsons, Brenden, Caleb and Patrick; great-granddaughter, Coraline; siblings, Jim (Ardith) Jett, John (Pat) Jett, Rose Hall, Sue (Steve) Fearing, and Ed (Jacquie) Jett; sister-in-law, Virginia Jett; several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Shirley’s Celebration of Life will be held at Christopher Mitchell Funeral Homes, Inc., 21 West Ave., Albion, on Fri., Feb. 15 at 11 a.m.
