Shirley (Ainsworth) Wolfe

GREECE/WATERPORT – Shirley (Ainsworth) Wolfe, age 93, passed away peacefully at her home on April 8, 2025.  Shirley was born March 20, 1932 in Rochester a daughter of the late Earl and Gertrude (Nesbitt) Ainsworth.  Shirley was a member of Holy Family Parish-St. Joseph’s Church, Catholic Daughters of the Americas, Ladies of Charity and a Eucharistic Minister.  Shirley and her late husband Larry lived in Greece for many years before moving to Waterport in 1992.  Shirley loved ceramics, classic movies and the flower club.

Shirley was predeceased by her loving husband Larry Wolfe in 2019 and brother Ronald (Ginny) Ainsworth.
Shirley is survived by her loving son and daughter-in-law, Eric (Ellen) Wolfe of Greece, beloved grandchildren, Nicholas and Nathan Wolfe, brothers-in-law, Norm (Joanne) Wolfe and Ray (Colleen) Wolfe, several nieces and nephews.
Shirley’s family will receive friends at the Christopher Mitchell Funeral Home 21 W. Avenue Albion, on Friday April 11, from 4:00-7:00.  Shirley’s Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Holy Family Parish-St. Joseph’s Church 106 S. Main St. Albion on Saturday April 12, at 10.00am. Interment will be in St. Joseph’s Cemetery.  Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association or Holy Family Parish.
