Shawn George Roberts

Shawn George Roberts “Smith,” 59, of Kent, passed away unexpectedly on March 8, 2019. He was born June 7, 1959 in Albion to Annette Hageman and remained in Kent his entire life.

Shawn had a special gift of wit and humor to always get you to laugh and make your day happier. He was a perfectionist as a custom spray applicator for Growmark and Helena Chemical. Shawn was always proud of his one-on-one relationship with the farmers and always respectfully called them “Mister.” He had a love for any type of music, enjoyed mowing his lawn, and had a tremendous love for his girls.

Shawn is survived by his mother, Annette (Gerald Baehr) Hageman; daughter, Heather (Dennis) Roberts, and her mother, Paula Wuest; daughter, Kailah (Collin) Roberts, and her mother, Tonia Young; siblings, Robin (LouAnn) Roberts, Darlene (David) Krull, Lorilyn (Gregory) Jurs and Darren Roberts; granddaughter, Anja Kato; special friends, Mike Furness and Kevin Drew; as well as several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and cousins.

The family will receive friends on Mon., March 11 from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. at Christopher Mitchell Funeral Homes, Inc., 21 West Ave., Albion NY 14411, where his funeral service will be held Tue., March 12 at 11 a.m. Interment will be in Mt. Albion Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Gaines Carlton Community Church, 14585 Ridge Road, Albion NY 14411.
