Sharon (Simpson) Wagner, of Rochester, passed away surrounded by her family and caregivers at St. John’s Home in Rochester, N.Y. on Jan. 16, 2019. She was born Nov. 30, 1943 in Hamilton, Ontario to Marion and Harvey Simpson and raised in Rochester.

Sharon worked in the Rochester City School District as an elementary school librarian after her children were of school age. She enjoyed traveling, camping, crafting, gardening, reading, and spending time with friends and family. Sharon often commented that living in the log home she built with her husband, Richard, in Bethel, Vt. was like enjoying a permanent vacation, with its picturesque views and the serenity of the woods.

Sharon was predeceased by her husband, Richard.

She is survived by her children, Christine (David) Brucker and Jeff Brucker; grandchildren, Carolyn Dunne, Alyssa Dunne and Nick (Victoria) Brucker; brothers, David (Sharon) Simpson and Douglas (Martin) Simpson; nephew, Adam (Renee) Simpson; and niece, Julie Simpson.

Inurnment will be private. In lieu of flowers, please donate to the charity of your choice in Sharon’s memory.
