Scott EdwardsScott E. Edwards, 54, of Albion, passed away on Sun., Aug. 23 after a long and valiant battle with cancer.

Scott is survived by the love of his life, his wife of eight years, Christine Edwards; his beloved children, Ian Edwards (10), Emilie Edwards (28), and Erika (Chris) Reed (25); his mother, Chelcie Edwards; father-in-law, Ted Streets of Clayton, N.Y.; brothers, Mickey (Melinda) Edwards, Randy Edwards, Mark (Rhonda) Crissman and Randy (Karen) Crissman; sisters, Cindy (Donny) Grabowski and Susan (Harvey) Campbell; many nieces and nephews for whom he cared very deeply; and a lot of close friends.

He was predeceased by his father, Beverly Edwards; and his brother, JT Edwards.

Scott’s children were the pride and joy of his life. His legacy of a kind spirit, passion for sports (especially the Buffalo Bills), love of the great outdoors, and zest for life will live on through them. He was extremely proud of his children and all of their accomplishments.

He was liked by everyone who knew him and was known as the “cool Dad” by his kids. He was a fun-loving guy, and the “life of the party,” especially on a hot summer day with country music playing (loudly) and his favorite drink in his hand. He was an excellent mentor and life coach and was often asked for his advice, which he gave freely to friends and co-workers. His other passions included camping, golf and karaoke. (He was actually a very good singer.)

Scott graduated from Albion High School in 1984 and was a graduate of Genesee Community College. He was a great people person who could talk to anyone, which only added to his long and successful career in sales. Most recently, he was Director of Sales & Marketing at Wendt Corporation in Buffalo. The family would like to thank and acknowledge all of the support provided by all the members of the Wendt team.

The family would also like to thank the many doctors and nurses who helped care for him at Roswell Cancer Institute. Your kindness, caring and compassion are appreciated.

He enjoyed attending online services through Crosspoint Church of Nashville, Tenn.

The Edwards family will receive friends and extended family for calling hours at Red Rock Campground, 16097 Canal Road, Holley, on Mon., Aug. 31, from 4 to 8 pm. Face masks are required.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Roswell Cancer Institute.

Scott’s arrangements have been entrusted to Christopher Mitchell Funeral Homes, Inc., 21 West Ave., Albion. To share a special memory of Scott, please visit www.mitchellfamilyfuneralhomes.com.
