Scott C. Merritt
Scott C. “Scooter” Merritt, 37, of Albion, passed away peacefully on Thu., May 23, 2019 at Highland Hospital, Rochester, N.Y.
Born on July 28, 1981, he was the son of Charles “Chuck” and Barbara (Sledzik) Merritt.
Scott graduated from Medina High School in 1999 and worked at several local businesses, including with his father at Chuck’s Landscaping, at Buffalo Federal Detention Center in Batavia, and at Markin Tubing in Wyoming. Scott was a devoted father who enjoyed spending time with his sons. He loved the outdoors, especially while watching bonfires and concerts.
Besides his parents, Scott is survived by his siblings, Brittany Merritt of Davenport, Fla. and Michael Merritt of Medina, Alicia Canne of Holley and her three children, McKenna, Gianna and Tommy; two sons, Brayden and Ronan Merritt of Warsaw, N.Y.; and an uncle, Bill Merritt of Medina.
As per Scott wishes, there are no calling hours or funeral. A private service will be held at the convenience of the family.
