Roger RosenbergAmerican flagRoger L. “Rosie” Rosenberg, 72, of West Shelby, passed away on Sat., Dec. 15, 2018 at his home, with his loving family at his side. He was born on Aug. 28, 1946 in Lockport, a son of the late Lawrence and Helen (Falker) Rosenberg.

Roger served in the U.S. Navy from 1964 to 1967 and, upon returning home, was employed for 38 years with Harrison Radiator of Lockport. He was an avid hunter who played for the Junior Wilson Sportsman’s Horseshoe League. Most of all, Roger enjoyed spending time with his family, friends and neighbors.

Roger is survived by his wife of 31 years, Bridget Rosenberg; four children, Lori Rosenberg of Albion, Steve (Cathy) Rosenberg of Medina, Kelly (Lawrence Sparks) Morrison of Medina, and Harry (Stephanie Maquardt) Morrison of Medina; 13 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; three siblings, Linda (Ross) Conway of Piffard, N.Y., Dale (Denise) Rosenberg of Akron and Cathy Bauer of Cheektowaga; and several nieces and nephews.

A celebration of  Roger’s life will be held on Fri., Dec. 21 from 6 to 9 p.m. at the Shelby Fire Hall, 4695 S. Gravel Road, Medina, with full military honors accorded by the members of Lincoln Post #1483 Veterans of Foreign Wars and Butts-Clark Post #204 American Legion promptly at 6 p.m.
