Rodney R. Woodroe

Rodney R. “Skip” Woodroe, 66, of Medina, died May 21, 2020 in Orchard Rehab and Nursing Center following a long illness. He was born June 26, 1953 in Lockport to Ross and Suzann (Bigelow) Woodroe and was a lifetime resident of this area.

Skip worked for Fisher-Price for over 25 years and was a very social person who enjoyed telling a good story. He was a member of the Junior Wilson Sportsmen’s Club and the Medina Veterans Club, and he enjoyed hunting, fishing and camping. Skip also enjoyed watching episodes of “The Golden Girls” and “Scooby-Doo.”

He is survived by his wife of 18 years, Cora; his son, Joel Woodroe of Medina; brother, Jimmy Joe (Terry Lynn) Woodroe of Medina; sister, Cherri (Dana) Sharping of Medina; two grandchildren, Ashley and Hayden; as well as several nieces and nephews.

There will no calling hours. Private services and interment in Royalton Mountain Ridge Cemetery will take place at the convenience of the family, and a celebration of Skip’s life will be held at a later date.
