Roberta L. Hare

Roberta HareRoberta L. Hare, 76, of Medina, entered into rest on Jan. 16, 2020 at Medina Memorial Hospital with her loving daughter at her side. She was born Dec. 13, 1943 in Lockport, a daughter to the late Robert and Margaret (Wilson) Cox.

She worked for Southland Frozen Foods in Barker. She married John D. Hare on March 26, 1966. Together, they ran Hare Second Hand Store on Main Street in Barker. In her later years, Roberta enjoyed playing cards and bingo.

She is survived by her daughter, Melanie (Keith) Oliver of Lyndonville; two grandchildren, Felicia Reid and Allen Reid; her brother, Thomas (MaryAnn) Cox of Lockport; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John, on April 18, 1997; and by her sister, Patricia Dysinger.

Calling hours will be held on Mon., Jan. 20 from 4 to 8 p.m. at Cooper Funeral Home, 215 W. Center St., Medina, where her funeral service will be held on Tue., Jan 21 at 10 a.m. The Rev. Bernard Nowak will officiate. Burial will be in Hartland Central Cemetery later in the spring.
