Robert L. “Bob” Carpenter, 66, of Holley, passed away suddenly on Dec. 4, 2019. He was born Oct. 10, 1953 in Brockport to the late Stanley and Eleanor (McFarland) Carpenter and would remain in the Holley and Clarendon area his entire life.

Bob served his country in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War, from 1971 to 1973. He was a member of VFW Post 202 and American Legion Post 529, and he was a volunteer fireman for the Clarendon Volunteer Fire Company. Bob was also an avid Buffalo Bills fan. He had a great personality and was always happy. Spending time with his wife and family was his greatest joy in life.

Bob is survived by his loving wife of 42 years, Paula; children, Sean Carpenter, Orissa (Mike) Hill, John Carpenter and Matthew Carpenter; grandchildren, Tyler (Annie Jewell), McKenzie, Mason, Mazie and Julia; brothers, Skip (Cindy), Bill (Ann), Rusty (Mary) and Paul (Kathy); several nieces, nephews and cousins.

The family will receive friends on Mon., Dec. 9 from 1 to 3 p.m. at Christopher Mitchell Funeral Homes, Inc., 16650 State Route 31, Holley NY 14470, where a brief service followed by military honors will be held promptly at 3 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Bob’s name may be made to Orleans County Joint Veterans Council, 13996 Route 31, Albion NY 14411.
