Robert J. Beckler

Robert J. Beckler, 81, of Clarendon, died May 22, 2019 at his residence following a long illness.

He was born Sept. 17, 1937 in Rochester and lived in this area his entire life. Robert was a United States Navy veteran and a retiree of General Motors Delco in Rochester. He was known by his family and friends as a “Mr. Fix-it” and was very generous with his time. He enjoyed loading his own ammunition and shooting his firearms. Robert was a man with strong family values who spent much time taking care of his daughter, Mary.

Mr. Beckler was predeceased by his wife, Charlotte Marie; a son, Gregory; one brother; and five sisters.

He is survived by his children, Keith (Allison) Beckler of Florida, Sage (Chuck) Marie of Pennsylvania, John (Sarah) Beckler of Batavia, Daniel (Barbara) Beckler of Slovenia, Robert Beckler of Georgia, and Mary Elizabeth Beckler of Clarendon; and four grandchildren, Isabella, Jack, Luca and Mila.

There will be no calling hours. Robert’s service and private interment will be held at the convenience of the family.
