Robert G. Goodell
Robert G. Goodell, 73, of Newfane, died May 6, 2020 in the Newfane Rehab and Health Care Center following a brief illness. He was born July 13, 1946 in Olean to George and Betty (App) Goodell and lived in this area most of his life.
Robert was a member of Community Fellowship Church in Johnson Creek, worked as a pattern maker for AgPack in Gasport, and then worked for Bison Bag. He drove a bus after he “retired” and was known for raising beagles. Robert was a gun enthusiast who enjoyed shooting, and he was a former member of the Middleport Rod and Gun Club.
He is survived by his children, Brenda Christie of Wrights Corners, Bobbie (Fred) Baldwin of Middleport, and Erin (Floyd) Nichols of West Virginia; his brother, James (Elena) Goodell of Florida; his sister, Susan (David) Lester of Newfane; seven grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; two nieces and two nephews.
There will be no visiting hours. Private service and interment will be held at the convenience of the family.
