MIDDLEPORT – Ricky L. Wells, 68, of Middleport, NY, passed away peacefully on Thursday, March 24, 2022 at Rochester General Hospital with his loving family at his side. Born on May 8, 1953 in Medina, he was the son of the late Erwin and Dorothy (Stuber) Wells.

Ricky graduated from Medina High School in 1971 and on August 3, 1974 he married the former Linda D. Bentley and together they made their home in Middleport and raised two children. He was employed with the former Fisher-Price for 25 years and later he retired as a truck driver for Jamestown Container.

Ricky was a former member of the Shelby Volunteer Fire Company and was a Scoutmaster for the Boy Scouts in Middleport and Little League Baseball Coach for the Middleport Pirates. In his spare time, Ricky enjoyed hunting, riding his four wheeler, and spending time with his fur babies, Amber and Jake.

Ricky is survived by his wife of 47 years, Linda D. Wells; two children, Scott Wells of Ontario, NY and Amy (Justin) Weese of Albion; two granddaughters, Emily and Kimberly; two brothers, James (Lucretia) Wells of Shelby, and Keith (Connie) Wells of Catawba, North Carolina. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews.

Besides his parents, Ricky is predeceased by an infant brother, Allen E. Wells.

Relatives and friends may call on Thursday, March 31, from 10 a.m. to noon at the Bogan & Tuttle Funeral Home, 226 Pearl St. Medina, NY 14103, where a funeral service will be held at noon with Pastor Ronald Houseman officiating. Burial will be in the Lynhaven Cemetery.

Memorials may be made in Ricky’s name to the Lipson Cancer Institute, 127 North St. Batavia, 14020.
