Richard MooreRichard L. Moore, 87, of Holley, passed away March 20, 2020. He was born Nov. 17, 1932 in Warrenton, N.C., a son of the late James and Ella (Harris) Moore.

Richard was a member of First Baptist Church of Holley and a former employee of Rochester Products. Mr. Moore was affectionately known as the “Candy Man.” He loved socializing and taking videos, especially at festivals, and he also had a great sense of humor.

He was predeceased by his granddaughter, Jennifer; sister, Emma (James); and brothers, Romey, George and James.

Richard is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Joyce (Hartley) Moore; daughters, Susan (Donald) Haubner, Lori Miller, Rebecca (James) Haines and Emma Parsons; son, Frank Helvey; grandchildren, Alexandra, Brandon, Donald, Jillian, Jimmy and Daniel; special granddaughter/caregiver, Jessica (Rich); great-grandchildren, Elaina, Gianna, Cody and Kylie; and several nieces and nephews in North Carolina.

To ensure the health and safety of the family and others, all services will be held in private. Interment will be in Hillside Cemetery.
