Richard L. Dixon, Sr. “Dick”
WATERPORT – Richard L. Dixon, Sr. “Dick” of Waterport, NY, entered into eternal rest on Thursday, September 7, 2023 at the age of 76.
Born on September 24, 1946 in Philipsburg, Pennsylvania, the only son of Robert A. and Gertrude (nee Cassick) Dixon.
He was a 1964 graduate of Tonawanda Senior High School. He served in the United States Marine Corp. from 1964-1968, being awarded the National Defense Service Medal, Good Conduct Medal, Presidential Unit Citation, Vietnam Service Medal and the Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal.
Dick married the former Rosanna I. Mast on June 25, 1971 at the North Tonawanda City Hall. Richard is survived by his son Richard L. “Dickie” Dixon, Jr.; three grandchildren Lynzy, Robert and Andrew Dixon; two sisters Harriet “Bonnie” (Raymond) Dobson and Arlene (Michael) Rollins; also survived by many nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, September 23, 2023 at Acacia Park Cemetery Chapel at 11:30 AM. Family and friends are invited.
